Cradled  Panels

For larger-sized panels, a lightly cradled structure is utilized.   The face of these panels are made with 1/4 inch hardwood plywood and the cradle is made with Douglas fir.  Douglas fir is known for its resistance to warping and strength.  The painting surface of the panels are made from domestic, or Baltic birch or Sande wood.

The corner to corner cross brace reduces the possibility of warping and adds good structure and stiffness.  This design ensures the panels are strong, stable, and lightweight. The back of each panel is sealed with a natural oil-based sealer, while the sides and front can be finished with a marine-grade, non-toxic, water-based sealer.
